Indonesia Supply Chain Exhibition & Conference Officially Launched, Strengthening National Logistics Transformation

JAKARTA — A new international platform for logistics and supply chain development has been officially launched in Indonesia, marking a strategic step in accelerating industry transformation that is increasingly vital to national economic growth.

The Indonesia Supply Chain Exhibition & Conference, powered by CeMAT and CargoNOW, was introduced during a launch event at The Westin Jakarta on April 30, 2026. The event is organized by Deutsche Messe, Debindo Global Expo, and CargoNOW.

The exhibition and conference are scheduled to take place from November 25 to 27, 2026, at Nusantara International Convention & Exhibition (NICE) in PIK 2, Jakarta, bringing together industry players from across Indonesia and the wider ASEAN region.

The launch also marks the return of CeMAT to Jakarta, reconnecting Indonesia with one of the world’s leading platforms for intralogistics, automation, and supply chain innovation. This comes at a time when demand for logistics efficiency is rising rapidly, driven by industrial expansion, e-commerce growth, and large-scale infrastructure development.

Indonesia continues to face structural challenges in its logistics sector, with costs exceeding 20 percent of GDP—among the highest in Asia. At the same time, opportunities are expanding as the country’s digital economy is projected to surpass USD 100 billion in the coming years.

Government initiatives such as the National Logistics Ecosystem (NLE), along with investments in ports, toll roads, and industrial zones, are reshaping the national distribution system. However, these developments also highlight the urgent need for more integrated, technology-driven supply chain solutions.

Indonesia Supply Chain is designed as an end-to-end platform connecting domestic industry needs with global innovation. The exhibition will showcase a wide range of solutions, including transport and freight, warehousing, material handling, supply chain technology, manufacturing support, and specialized sectors such as cold chain and pharmaceutical logistics.

The event will also feature technology demonstrations, automation and robotics solutions, as well as advanced systems powered by artificial intelligence (AI) and the Internet of Things (IoT), aimed at improving supply chain visibility and decision-making.

Rafidi Iqra, Director of Debindo Global Expo, stated that the exhibition represents a key momentum to strengthen cross-industry collaboration and enhance competitiveness through digitalization and efficiency.

Meanwhile, representatives from Hannover Fairs Asia Pacific emphasized that Indonesia is ready to host a global-scale platform capable of bridging local demand with international expertise.

As part of the global Hannover Messe network, Indonesia Supply Chain positions the country within a broader industrial ecosystem spanning Europe, the Middle East, Asia Pacific, and the Americas.

Beyond being an exhibition, the platform is expected to serve as a strategic hub for international partnerships, technology exchange, and high-level discussions through industry forums and the LogiSYM Indonesia 2026 conference.

In a broader context, the launch reflects Indonesia’s ambition to strengthen its position within global supply chains. Its long-term impact will depend on how effectively industry players adopt new technologies and improve operational governance.

If leveraged properly, this platform could become a catalyst for improving national logistics efficiency and enhancing Indonesia’s competitiveness amid increasingly complex global trade dynamics.
